As Chief Operating Officer, Capital Markets at CIBC, Tanya is responsible for driving end-to-end connectivity across the Capital Markets business, delivering a unified client coverage model, strengthening business architecture, and ensuring operational excellence as CIBC advances its client-focused growth strategy. Her mandate includes client analytics and performance measurement, optimizing financial resource allocation across Capital Markets, and enabling new business initiatives while working closely with stakeholders across the bank to maximize the collective impact of the teams.

 Since joining CIBC in 2013, Tanya has held increasingly senior roles within the bank. Her previous positions include Chief Financial Officer of Global Markets and US Capital Markets, and most recently overseeing the financial and business performance as the CFO of the Global Capital Markets business.

Tanya holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Toronto and is both a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst. She also holds an Executive MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
