FX Files – Twenty Five Years On

FICC Strategy Reports

The market finds some relief overnight into this morning’s US CPI print. Oil is lower with WTI now at $99.00 (-3.3% OTD) and Brent at $103.70 (-3.6% OTD) as the IEA warned of the risks for a demand contraction amid a prolonged war. A FT article also suggest that Iran and GCC officials are scheduled to meet on Monday to discuss the Strait of Hormuz. Treasuries find some reprieve after a sizable selloff yesterday, with 10yr yields still shy of the 5.0% level (now at 4.94%). Equity markets see a small bid with Spoos at 7642 (+0.58% OTD).
